Job Title: Physiotherapist - Geriatric Care Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physiotherapist to join our team in a long-term care setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive physiotherapy assessments, treatments, and care to clients in a geriatric population.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct thorough assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for clients
* Provide physiotherapy services to clients in long-term care, retirement home, and assisted living settings
* Develop and implement exercise programs, including manual therapy and home exercise programs
* Prescribe and educate clients on the use of mobility aids, assistive devices, and other equipment
* Oversee Physiotherapy Support Personnel (PTA)

Requirements:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy
* Registration with College of Physiotherapy of Ontario
* Experience with supervision of support staff
* Experience in working with the geriatric population and chronic diseases
* CPR certification
* ADP certified, or willingness to become certified
* Strong physical assessment and treatment planning skills
* Excellent time management and organizational skills
* Ability to work independently, yet collaboratively as a member of a team
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* A commitment to best practices, quality, and client-centered care
* Bilingual (French and English)
