We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our HR Shared Services team at CBC/Radio-Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative and transactional support in the processing of HR Administration events.
Key Responsibilities- Process all types of staffing events, including retirements, resignations, and other personnel actions, with accuracy and timeliness.
- Verify requests to ensure compliance with CBC policies, Workday procedures, and collective agreements.
- Manage and respond to employee inquiries through a ticketing system, including escalated interactions to ensure effective and timely response and/or resolution.
- Build relationships with requesters based on trust through open, supportive, and positive communication.
- Ensure that all requests are properly authorized and documented, and follow up with managers, business support, or HR business partners as required.
- Review pay draft results to ensure changes have been applied correctly.
- Work closely with other related teams, including Shared Services, Workday People System, and Analytics team, to ensure pay information is properly and accurately entered into the system.
- Participate in documenting internal procedures and processes.
- Work with highly confidential and sensitive information concerning employee files.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Motivation and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Organizational and resourcefulness skills.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Two years of experience performing duties similar or related to this position.
- Written and oral bilingualism is required.
- Knowledge of Human Resources Management systems, such as Workday.
- Good organizational skills, ability to manage several priorities, and meet multiple deadlines.
- Discretion, diplomacy, and tact in communications with staff and/or managers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness.
- Flexibility to work overtime to meet tight deadlines.
