Business Development Director

At Ontario, we are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to lead our sales efforts and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and marketing, with a proven track record of success in developing and executing business strategies.
The Business Development Director will be responsible for allocating resources, authorizing department establishment, and coordinating work across regions. They will establish objectives for the organization, formulate policies, and represent the company in official functions.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to select and delegate authority to middle managers and directors. They will also participate in programs that support diversity and inclusion, such as physical accessibility and community initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Allocating material, human, and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs
- Authorizing and organizing the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions
- Coordinating the work of regions, divisions, or departments
- Establishing objectives for the organization and formulating or approving policies and programs
- Representing the organization in negotiations or other official functions
- Selecting middle managers, directors, or other executive staff; delegating the necessary authority to them and creating optimum working conditions
We offer a permanent position with 40 hours of work per week and English as the primary work language.
