Head of Sustainability and Climate Change Reporting

This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of Ontario Teachers' sustainability reporting and analytics strategy. The successful candidate will lead a team of experts in sustainability and ESG reporting, and will be responsible for ensuring that the organization's sustainability reporting is accurate, comprehensive, and meets the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability reporting and analytics strategy that aligns with Ontario Teachers' business objectives and industry best practices.
- Lead a team of sustainability and ESG reporting experts to ensure the development of high-quality sustainability reports and analytics.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and other stakeholders to ensure that sustainability reporting is integrated into the organization's overall business strategy.
- Sustainability Reporting and Analytics
- Develop and maintain Ontario Teachers' sustainability reporting framework, including the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
- Lead the development of sustainability reports, including the annual sustainability report and other ad-hoc reports as required.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, regulators, and other external parties.
- Team Management
- Lead and manage a team of sustainability and ESG reporting experts, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure that team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Education
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as business, environmental science, or sustainability.
- Experience
- 10+ years of experience in sustainability and ESG reporting, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sustainability reporting and analytics strategies.
- Skills
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of experts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement complex sustainability reporting and analytics strategies.
