About the Role

This is a critical position within the Bank of Montreal, reporting directly to the Managing Director and Head of the BMO Climate Institute. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for managing the BMO Climate Institute, driving enterprise-wide initiatives to mitigate climate risk and promote sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement climate risk management strategies to minimize the bank's exposure to climate-related threats
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate climate sustainability into business operations and decision-making processes
  • Provide expert advice on climate-related matters to senior management and stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of climate-related policies, procedures, and guidelines
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Strong knowledge of climate change, sustainability, and risk management principles
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the banking industry
