About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Memory Architect to join our Platform Development Team at Lenovo. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the organization's knowledge and expertise on the latest memory technologies and trends.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement technical roadmaps to ensure Lenovo's leading position in memory technologies.
  2. Collaborate with industry leaders and internal teams to advise on system architecture design from memory and memory subsystem perspectives.
  3. Drive common portfolio level memory subsystem architecture and provide deep expertise on memory RAS feature planning and implementation.
  4. Work with a team of distinguished experts to lead the memory subsystem architecture and design, and to conduct research and lead proof of concept for future memory subsystem technologies.
  5. Ensure the highest degree of memory subsystem reliability for current and future products that meet Lenovo's commitment to customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  1. 15+ years' of work experience with hands-on on volatile memory related development and 5 years in architecture leadership role.
  2. Experience with memory topologies ranging from single socket servers up to 8 socket servers.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Recognition as an industry expert with broad and deep experience with memory technology.
  2. Knowledge and experience with memory topologies ranging from single socket servers up to 8 socket servers.
  3. Deep understanding of error correction algorithms and memory controller design at the RTL level.
  4. Knowledge and experience with statistical analysis of DIMM failure rates / modes.
  5. Participation in JEDEC and future memory technologies.
  6. Deep understanding of alternate memory interconnects and architectures such as CXL, memory centric compute, memory tiering, advanced caching enablement.
  7. Experience innovating and working with software and firmware enablement of advanced memory RAS, Pre-failure Monitoring, ACPI, NUMA awareness and optimization approaches.
  8. Deep understanding of memory centric customer workloads such as in memory databases (SAP, etc.) and benchmarking.
  9. Design experiences including creation of memory subsystem designs, ability to assess and clearly communicate design tradeoffs (including cost, expense, performance, reliability, serviceability, and customer experience).
  10. Proven focus on impactful innovation including a rich patent portfolio and demonstrated successful collaboration across teams, companies, and the industry.
  11. Demonstrated leadership across world-wide cultures and geographies, with an emphasis on coaching and development of future technical leaders, strong communication skills and an ability to represent Lenovo and ISG well to employees, partners, customers, and the industry.
  12. Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy with an ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results in a complex, high growth environment.
