Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled General Duty Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to contribute to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound services as defined at regional and local levels and as requested by physicians.
  • Manage patient exams, diagnostic files, equipment, and supplies effectively.
  • Maintain a safe environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance programs and accreditation standards.
  • May assist with radiographic/ECG duties, if applicable.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved and accredited Ultrasound training program.
  • Active registration status with Sonography Canada in the appropriate practitioner category.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements in accordance with Shared Health policy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous related experience.
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of office applications in a Windows environment with experience working with Microsoft Office programs.
Working Conditions
  • May be required to work at more than one Shared Health Site.
  • Mental and physical pressures in performing work.
  • Lifting and carrying items up to approximately 10 kg.
