At TC Energy, we are looking for a student to support our efforts in Energy Problem Solving and our daily operations.

As an Indigenous Relations and Community Engagement Intern, you will assist with organizing community meetings and events, support Indigenous Relations engagement team members, and maintain and update databases to ensure the evidentiary record of engagement with Indigenous groups, representatives and members, is maintained and accurate, to support regulatory filings and ongoing relationship building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with organizing community meetings and events
  • Assist with internal Governance of Indigenous Relations function
  • Attend site visits and provide support in maintaining community investment programming
  • Support Indigenous Relations engagement team members
  • Maintain and update databases to ensure the evidentiary record of engagement with Indigenous groups, representatives and members, is maintained and accurate, to support regulatory filings and ongoing relationship building
  • Provide administrative support to achieve department goals and execute projects

Qualifications

  • Actively enrolled in a BComm / BBA undergraduate degree program, communications or equivalent, with at least one semester of education complete
  • Enrollment at an accredited university, and returning to school for at least one semester following your work term
  • Exhibit a safety mindset, in a professional and personal setting
  • Must exhibit the TC Energy corporate values and incorporate them into work activities and initiatives: safety, responsibility, integrity, innovation and collaboration
