About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Metal Fitter Supervisor to join our team at SAT METAL FABRICATION INC. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of our metal fabrication shop and ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Coordinate and schedule activities to ensure timely completion of projects, estimate costs and materials, and requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise a team of 5-10 workers and provide guidance and training to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed and that the work site environment is safe and free from hazards.
  • Quality Control: Oversee the quality of all fabricated products and ensure that they meet the required standards.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and clients to ensure that all projects are completed to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and ability to work 30-40 hours per week.
