About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Mesh Enablement Consultant to join our team at CIBC. As a key member of our Data Enablement team, you will play a critical role in driving the adoption of our Data Mesh platform across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Data Mesh Enablement Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive data mesh enablement strategy, including the mobilization of the One Data Enablement team in a hub-and-spoke model.
  • Establish Data Governance Framework: Develop and maintain a robust data governance framework to ensure consistent data consumption across the enterprise data enablement platform in a cloud environment.
  • Provide Oversight Function: Facilitate and support internal and external reviews, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and managing deliverables as a result of review findings.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Provide leadership in designing data enablement rollout strategies, liaising with various lines of business, analytical groups, user bases, technology, and change management teams.
  • Innovation and Simplification: Strive for continual enhancement of enablement processes and contribute to platform and governance process simplification.
  • Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with internal and external clients, working collaboratively with teams across the bank to understand their data and analytical needs.
Requirements
  • Experience in working in an internal consulting team with a focus on enterprise enablement, data management, process engineering, and business intelligence.
  • Ability to analyze and convey complex ideas and concepts in a concise and clear way.
