As a key member of our education team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing a grade 7 and 8 History Curriculum Pilot Project, as well as other tasks assigned by the Student Achievement and Well-being Principal responsible for Indigenous Education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a grade 7 and 8 History Curriculum Pilot Project
  • Collaborate with the program team to achieve project goals
  • Provide leadership and support to school communities and partners in Indigenous Education
  • Manage financial resources and report writing
  • Travel to various locations as required
Requirements
  • Valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate
  • Valid Certification of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers
  • First Nation, Métis, or Inuit Additional Qualification Part 1 or lived experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the program team
  • Strong understanding of Indigenous Peoples, cultures, histories, and contemporary contexts
  • Working knowledge of and/or experience with the Grade 7 and 8 History Curriculum
  • Ability and skillsets to work with school communities and partners in Indigenous Education
  • Competency in financial management/report writing/time management
  • Driver's license, reliable vehicle, and ability to travel
