Indigenous Relations Leader

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced leader with a background in Indigenous Relations to join our team as a Manager, Indigenous Relations. The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating and developing ongoing relationships with Indigenous communities, leading to the growth of successful partnerships within Central and Eastern Canada.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement short and long-range indigenous business development strategies for projects.
- Collaborate with other corporate shared services teams to develop employment, skills development and subcontracting programs.
- Initiate and lead Indigenous awareness campaigns, internally and externally.
- Establish and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, and industry clients.
- Refine, edit and tailor marketing collateral and presentations to specific clients and opportunities.
- Manage and participate in client, community and professional events in order to promote Civeo.
- Develop and maintain relevant community, project-specific financial and employment information.
- Stay current with industry trends and client activities in order to identify new markets and opportunities.
- Post-Secondary education in Business or another related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years' experience in Indigenous Community and Business engagement.
- Existing contacts with Aboriginal Communities, Provincial and Federal Ministries responsible for Indigenous affairs.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and written abilities, with highly refined presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to establish clear priorities.
- Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's License, with a 5-year driving record satisfactory to Civeo's driving criteria.
- Travel to the sites will be required.
