About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As an IT Helpdesk Technician, you will be responsible for providing timely and effective support to employees and affiliates, resolving technical issues related to desktop hardware, software, telecom, and network systems.

You will work closely with our internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations, troubleshoot complex problems, and implement solutions to improve overall system performance. Your expertise will also extend to enabling system access, managing user accounts, and supporting communications technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 1 phone, email, remote, and on-site support to employees and affiliates
  • Enable support for system access, including creating and managing user accounts
  • Support communications technologies, including analog and VoIP phones
  • Document and track issues, status, and resolution using incident management tools
  • Ensure timely resolution and communication of status with users and management
  • Conduct ticket reviews, statistic reports, and execute special projects as required
  • Ability to travel between offices as required to assist with IT support
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 1-3 years' experience in a technical support role
  • Bilingualism in English/French
  • University degree or College diploma with a focus on IT or equivalent work experience
  • Experience supporting back-office applications and industry-standard business software applications, including MS Office and Outlook
  • Network and Communications - Understanding of LAN/WAN-based networking, Windows networking, Wireless, and VoIP technologies
  • Server/Workstation - Strong understanding of Windows Server, workstation OS platforms, Active Directory, Applications - Strong experience with back-office applications and industry-standard business software applications, Exchange mailbox setup, Outlook configuration, anti-virus, and malware
  • Citrix XenApp Server - Strong understanding of hosted applications and resources
  • Information Security - Strong understanding of industry best practices regarding information security
