About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Simply OMG Casual Cuisine. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and food preparation assistants.
    • Train and develop staff in job duties, food safety procedures, and customer service standards.
  • Food Preparation and Quality Control
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
    • Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys to ensure that food is served promptly and efficiently.
  • Inventory Management and Budgeting
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations, including food costs, inventory levels, and staff performance.
  • Customer Service and Communication
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, management, and customers to ensure that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College or CEGEP diploma in a related field, such as hospitality or culinary arts.
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in a food service environment.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Knowledge of food safety procedures and regulations.
    • Ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and physical activity. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
