About the Position

Kleinschmidt Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fisheries Engineer to lead our fish passage projects and manage a team of engineers and scientists. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing and/or managing structural, civil, and hydraulic design tasks in support of fisheries engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and scientists in the delivery of fish passage projects
  • Perform and/or manage structural, civil, and hydraulic design tasks in support of fisheries engineering projects
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Manage project teams and ensure timely completion of projects
  • Collaborate with clients, agencies, and contractors to ensure project success
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in fisheries engineering
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. engineering, environmental science)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in fisheries engineering or a related field
  • Proven track record of leading project teams and managing complex projects
  • Strong technical skills in structural, civil, and hydraulic engineering
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
