About the Role

BMT Canada is seeking a highly experienced Senior Pipeline Engineer to join our team as a technical leader and manager. This role will involve enhancing the capacity and capability of our team, working closely with our Infrastructure and Materials & Structures teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Executing and directing technical projects, providing guidance and mentoring to junior staff
  • Writing, reviewing, and contributing to project reports, managing and contributing to multiple projects simultaneously
  • Leading technical projects, providing expertise in pipeline and/or pressure vessels and piping design and integrity assessment
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant Canadian and US pipeline and energy sector standards and codes of practice
  • Supporting project and business management, identifying opportunities for technology and staff improvement
  • Recruiting and managing a team of engineers, reviewing and discussing business opportunities with the Infrastructure team
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Senior Pipeline Engineer with a strong background in the North American Energy Pipeline and/or Industrial Plant Service sector. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Over 15 years of related engineering experience, with a proven track record of leading client relationships and business promotion/sales
  • Expertise in engineering applied to the energy sector, with a strong understanding of pipeline and/or pressure vessels and piping design and integrity assessment
  • Leadership and management experience, with a proven ability to work in a consulting environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to write and review technical reports and proposals
  • Experience working with industry standards, such as CSA Z662, API 579, API 1104, BS 7910, ASME BPVC, and ASME B31 series
