We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Kleinschmidt Group. As a key member of our geotechnical engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership on complex projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead geotechnical engineering projects from feasibility to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Develop and implement geotechnical investigation, monitoring, and instrumentation programs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geotechnical engineering skills into project planning, analysis, design, and construction.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve project outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (concentration in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering) or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer licensure.
- At least 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to integrate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply geotechnical engineering skills to complex project challenges.
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering (concentration in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering) or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Experience with design and construction of embankments, deep and shallow foundation design, temporary excavation support, and embankment condition assessments.
- Experience performing dam safety, foundation, or construction inspections.
- Experience with slope stability and seepage analyses, preferably with Slope/W and Seep/W software.
- Experience developing and implementing geotechnical investigation, monitoring, and instrumentation programs.
- Experience managing people, projects, and client relationships.
