About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team at Silver City Construction Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Budgeting: Develop and manage project budgets, including estimating costs and materials.
  • Staffing and Recruitment: Recruit, hire, and manage a team of construction workers, ensuring the right skills and expertise are in place to deliver projects on time and to budget.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and schedule activities, including site preparation, construction, and completion.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, and that a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
  • Quality Control: Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that all projects are completed to the highest quality standards.
  • Communication: Read and interpret blueprints and drawings, and communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers.
  • Performance Management: Recommend personnel actions, including promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition materials and supplies, and manage the supply chain to ensure that all projects have the necessary resources.
  • Training and Development: Supervise workers and projects, and provide training and development opportunities to ensure that all team members have the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a construction or related field.
  • Security Clearance: Basic security clearance.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, organized, and a team player.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
