Job Title: In-House Legal Counsel

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced In-House Legal Counsel to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to our business teams, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance on commercial matters, including contract negotiations and corporate governance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including corporate law and commercial law in Canada and the US.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies to mitigate risks and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient management of legal matters.
  • Maintain accurate records of agreements and contracts, and ensure the Finance team is updated accordingly.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of post-qualification experience in commercial law or equivalent experience relevant to the role.
  • Recent experience working for a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with corporate law and commercial law in Canada and the US.
  • Able to work independently, prioritize, and manage large complex workloads to tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, solutions-driven approach.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and commitment to accommodate additional work demands as required.
  • Current member of a law society in Canada or the US.

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia. Potential flexibility for the role to be North America remote dependent on business needs.

Job Type: Hybrid Position.
