Job Summary

The ideal candidate will oversee legal agreements, provide general dedicated legal support to the Company's CMC and Quality functions, and work on clinical and commercial supply agreements. This role reports to the Chief Legal Officer and will be based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. We offer a competitive salary range of $165,500 to $217,600 CAD, along with a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes a target bonus, stock options, and benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently provide legal support, including strategic contract agreements in support of the company's CMC and Quality functions.
  • Negotiate and finalize agreements, ensuring efficient delivery of contracting services to the business.
  • Respond to internal inquiries concerning legal matters and identify potential risks.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and CMC groups to ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Contribute to policy development and compliance initiatives.
  • Liaise with external counsel as required.

Requirements:

  • JD (or equivalent) and minimum 6+ years of legal experience; law firm experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and guidance specific to the bio/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, and customer-focused demeanor.
  • Life-long learning of in-house legal department best practices and standards.
  • Able to leverage legal affairs peer groups to determine best practices.
  • Advanced redlining skills with strong attention to detail.
