We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Associate to join our team in Burnaby, British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the Manager, Accounting Operations by handling a variety of tasks to ensure that all invoices and other payables are recorded accurately and within tight deadlines.
  • Ensure positive vendor relationships and maintain on-time payments of vendor accounts.
  • Match all invoices to supporting documentation and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Apply appropriate coding to invoices, including GL accounts, department, and work package references.
  • Review invoices for sales tax compliance.
  • Enter invoices into accounting software, Microsoft DBC.
  • Review, reconcile, and enter credit card expenses.
  • Assist with semi-monthly payment run preparation, mailing, and filing.
Requirements
  • Prior accounts payable experience in a related industry.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Multi-tasker with an upbeat attitude.
