Job Title: Server Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Server Assistant to join our team at Kindred Food + Drink. As a Server Assistant, you will provide exceptional support to our Servers by ensuring that all tables are properly set, clean, and complete. You will also be responsible for communicating with Servers and Hosts to maximize seating and provide a positive experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Servers with food running and ensure that plates arrive to the correct guest
  • Communicate with Servers and Hosts to maximize seating and provide a positive experience for guests
  • Practice a high level of floor awareness and clear/clean as required
  • Follow all food safety standards and systems
  • Empty garbage, change linen bags, and dispose of garbage and recycling
  • Communicate to all Servers any comments or information provided by guests to ensure a positive experience

Requirements:

  • A Degree/Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent considered an asset
  • Smart Serve Certification a requirement
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to take direction and prioritize
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • High level of product knowledge
  • Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum
