About the Role

A Server Assistant at Auberge du Pommier provides exceptional support to our Servers by ensuring all tables are set with the proper mise en place, cleanliness, and completeness. This role requires a high level of floor awareness and exceptional knowledge of all food and beverage items.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Servers with food running, ensuring plates arrive at the correct table
  • Monitor the cleanliness of the section and ensure all materials and areas are clean and free from clutter
  • Communicate with Servers and Hosts to maximize seating and ensure a positive guest experience
  • Practice a high level of floor awareness and clear/clean as required
  • Ensure condiments are pre-portioned and fridges are stocked with essentials
  • Monitor food quality and presentation standards
  • Follow all food safety standards and systems
  • Empty garbage, change linen bags, and dispose of garbage and recycling
  • Communicate guest comments and information to Servers to ensure a memorable experience

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent considered an asset
  • Smart Serve Certification a requirement
  • High attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Organizational skills and ability to take direction and prioritize
  • Strong oral communication skills and high level of product knowledge
  • Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum
