About the Role
This is a key position for a motivated and experienced Scrum Master who will facilitate agile development processes, create and sustain high-performing agile teams, and ensure efficient sprint planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate agile development process, create and sustain high-performing agile teams, and help them deliver high-quality software.
- Conduct all needed agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, refinement, sprint review, retrospectives, daily stand-ups, Scrum of Scrums, and monthly release deployment activities.
- Ensure execution efficiency by owning efficient sprint planning, maintaining optimal velocity, and promoting code quality and production readiness.
- Coach teams in the adoption of agile software development practices, including product roadmaps, backlogs, user stories, release schedules, and delivery planning.
- Periodic reporting on team performance using agile metrics, including burndowns, Cumulative Flow Diagrams, Control Charts, sprint reports, and test reports.
- Familiarity with SAFe framework and Program Increment planning, collaborating with RTE to conduct PI planning sessions with agile team members and stakeholders.
- Subject matter expert in Confluence and JIRA, including creation of swimlanes and dashboards, running JQL queries, and customizing filters.
- Work with various global stakeholders, including product owners, lines of business, QA teams, release management, change advisory boards, and project management offices.
- Develop and nurture strong partnerships with product owners, business users, and other delivery partners.
- Influence a wide range of stakeholders to remove impediments and maximize team output.
- Encourage open communication and collaborative problem-solving to pave the way for faster removal of impediments and minimize the impact of mistakes.
- Identify, manage, and help mitigate issues and risks, with particular emphasis on timely removal of impediments for the team.
- Facilitate discovering and enacting continuous improvement strategies to increase team productivity and quality of deliverables.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience with software development life cycles.
- 3-5 years of Scrum Master experience in a recent project or initiative within a true agile environment.
- Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban practices, Confluence, JIRA, collaboration tools, and reporting.
- Experience leading large-scale enterprise transformation projects with global and cross-functional teams in agile environments.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum Management, Sprint, and Release planning.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and facilitation skills and proven ability to work with global teams.
- Proficiency in JIRA, MS Office tools, and strong data analysis skills using MS Excel.
- Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts.
Certifications/Qualifications
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), SAFe Scrum Master, or similar certifications.
- Bachelor's degree or university degree or equivalent experience.
- Master's degree preferred.
