About the Role

The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of assigned projects, within budget and timeline, and to the satisfaction of the client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define a technical strategy and procurement plan in collaboration with the Systems Engineer and Procurement Department;
  • Plan and coordinate with all involved departments to meet contractual obligations and financial objectives;
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, quality standards, technical specifications, health and safety, and timely execution of all project activities;
  • Organize project team meetings, prepare reports, and define actions for the team throughout the project execution;
  • In collaboration with the Commercial Manager, analyze and prepare all project review documentation with management;
  • Conduct a review of risks and opportunities and detail potential financial deviations from set objectives, proposing a contingency plan to correct the situation;
  • In collaboration with the Commercial Manager and Systems Engineer, analyze, define, and implement a contingency plan to correct any failure or insufficiency that may have a direct impact on project results (costs, timelines, quality...);
  • With the assistance of the Commercial Manager, prepare and negotiate claims with clients;
  • Ensure the proper closure of a project when activities are completed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the heavy industry (experience in hydroelectricity or energy production equipment and manufacturing if relevant);
  • Marked experience and accomplishments in the effective management of complex projects with accelerated execution times;
  • Leadership and team/innovation spirit demonstrated;
  • Proven listening and verbal and written communication skills, as well as mastery of French and English languages;
  • Availability for travel as needed;
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (an asset);
  • PMP certification (an asset).
