Job Summary
Providence Health Care is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Leader to join our team at St. Vincent's Langara Long-Term Care. As a Clinical Nurse Leader, you will play a vital role in coordinating resident care activities, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents.
About the Role
This is a casual position, and the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supervising and coordinating the day-to-day resident care activities of the nursing unit
- Monitoring resident acuity and adjusting staffing levels as needed
- Acting as a clinical resource to nursing staff, students, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
- Participating in rounds/clinics and collaborating with nursing staff to determine needs for consultation with Physicians, Nurse Consultants, and other disciplines or departments
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
- Three years of recent related experience in long-term care, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Ability to supervise, communicate effectively, and apply decision-making and analytical skills
