Community Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Mental Health Worker - HOMES - McGinty House.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary case management and community resources to tenants living at on-site locations.
- Assess and plan services to meet the unique needs of each tenant.
- Provide crisis prevention and intervention, as well as supportive counseling.
- Demonstrate commitment to the Good Shepherd mission values of Hospitality, Responsibility, Availability, Adaptability, Quality, and Dignity.
- Participate in Good Shepherd's Health and Safety programs and procedures to minimize risk to clients, staff, and others.
- A post-secondary education in social or health services.
- A minimum of three years' experience in mental health and concurrent disorders.
- 'Recovery orientation' and 'consumer driven' style of practice is essential.
- Ability to work independently and think creatively.
- Ability to speak French and/or other languages is considered an asset.
- CPR certification or willingness to be certified is required.
