About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Mental Health Worker - HOMES - McGinty House.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary case management and community resources to tenants living at on-site locations.
  • Assess and plan services to meet the unique needs of each tenant.
  • Provide crisis prevention and intervention, as well as supportive counseling.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the Good Shepherd mission values of Hospitality, Responsibility, Availability, Adaptability, Quality, and Dignity.
  • Participate in Good Shepherd's Health and Safety programs and procedures to minimize risk to clients, staff, and others.
Requirements
  • A post-secondary education in social or health services.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in mental health and concurrent disorders.
  • 'Recovery orientation' and 'consumer driven' style of practice is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and think creatively.
  • Ability to speak French and/or other languages is considered an asset.
  • CPR certification or willingness to be certified is required.
