About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Moving Helper to join our team at Winnipeg Moving & Storage, a business unit of Gardewine. As a Moving Helper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient relocation of our customers' household goods and office furniture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all customers, ensuring a positive experience throughout the moving process.
  • Load and unload household goods, including boxes and furniture, in a timely and safe manner.
  • Participate in packing and loading of household items, adhering to all policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, keeping them informed of activities and ensuring seamless coordination.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to Gardewine's safe work policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the team and achieve our goals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Prior experience loading and unloading household/office furniture and specialty freight.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Physical ability to move boxes, furniture, and office equipment as required, including bending, lifting, and carrying.
