About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at Last Stop Moving. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Accounting Systems: Ensure the efficient operation of our accounting systems, including manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing recommendations to management.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Work Setting: Willing to relocate.
  • Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
