Facilities Management Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Super 8 By Wyndham Clifton Hill. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our housekeeping department, ensuring that our guests have a clean and comfortable stay.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of housekeeping staff, inspecting rooms and facilities to ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety. They will also be responsible for preparing budgets and cost estimates, recommending additional services as needed, and maintaining accurate financial records. Additionally, they will assist in receiving payment for specialized cleaning jobs and coordinate work activities with other departments.
Responsibilities:
- Hire and train or arrange for training of housekeeping staff.
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers.
- Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards.
- Prepare budget and cost estimates.
- Recommend or arrange for additional services required such as painting, repair work, renovations or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
- Maintain financial records.
- Receive payment for specialized cleaning jobs.
- Assist cleaners in performing duties.
- Co-ordinate work activities with other departments.
Requirements:
- You will be working with 1 to 2 people, sometimes up to 3-4 people.
- This is a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Tasks may be repetitive.
- You will need to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
Working Conditions:
This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as attention to detail and organizational abilities. You will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on client satisfaction and flexibility in your schedule. Previous experience in a similar role is an asset.

Salary Estimate:
The estimated salary range for this position is $45,000 - $65,000 per year, based on location and experience.
