Job Summary

We are looking for a Program Assistant to join the Home Health team at the Pacific Spirit Community Health Centre in Vancouver, BC. As a Program Assistant, you will provide clerical and program support for the program services and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the Home Health program, including data entry, record-keeping, and correspondence.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, coordinating client services, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support program staff with tasks such as preparing reports, presentations, and other materials.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Grade 12 education, supplemented by standard commercial and related computer courses, plus two years recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Proven/accurate data entry/keyboarding/word processing skills, including layout and organization of documents and demonstrated ability to create and work with spreadsheets, utilizing a variety of software applications.
  • Working knowledge and/or willingness to learn the program specific computer system.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and some independent judgement in carrying out duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, to multi-task, to work independently with minimal direction, to problem solve, to take initiative, to anticipate potential problems/conflicts and take appropriate actions, to organize and prioritize work and to meet deadlines.
