Job Summary

The Front Office Supervisor position is a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's guest services and front desk. As a Front Office Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and participating in the day-to-day activities of the front office department, including guest services, night audit, and reservations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute financial goals and objectives for the front office department.
  • Lead and supervise the front office team to ensure brand standards are met and guest satisfaction is high.
  • Monitor and maintain front office operations, including guest accounting and reservations, to ensure company standards are met.
  • Recruit, select, train, and develop front office personnel to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent guest service.
  • Supervise the reservation function, including yield management, to ensure maximum revenue per available room (RevPar).
  • Ensure application of credit policies, controls, and handling of financial transactions are in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure staff is knowledgeable about hotel facilities, daily functions, current hotel promotions, and local activities.
  • Handle guest feedback and concerns promptly to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Promote a culture focused on guest service and recommend incentives to increase revenue.
  • Implement and maintain company policies and procedures.
  • Assist hotel management with special reports and projects as directed.
  • Set procedures for groups according to company policy and yield management targets.
  • Assist in the operation of other departments within the hotel.
  • Manager on Duty shifts are required, overseeing day-to-day operations.
Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience in a similar supervisory/leadership role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Service-focused personality with the ability to lead by example.
  • Computer-savvy.
  • Experience with property management systems an asset.
  • Well-organized self-starter.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure.
  • Degree or diploma in hospitality management an asset.
  • Night audit experience an asset.
  • Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
