About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team at Canada Construction Limited. As a key member of our construction and renovation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction and renovation of residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and layout building sites in accordance with building codes and regulations, using measuring tools and equipment.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to construct and renovate buildings.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure the structural integrity of buildings.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to complete the finishing touches on construction and renovation projects.
  • Train and mentor apprentices to develop their skills and knowledge in carpentry and construction.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial properties, including wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field of carpentry and construction.
  • Excellent physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve complex construction and renovation issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and contractors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple projects.
