Nurse Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Care Specialist to join our team at RhynoCare, providing exceptional nursing care to our residents in the Thornhill area.
**Job Summary:**
As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs are met.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
- Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including comprehensive orientations to the home and its services.
- Ensure resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe.
- Ensure the safekeeping and control of drugs and narcotics, adhering to established protocols.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the unique needs of each resident.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and the Health Disciplines Act.
- Medical Clearance, including TB tests.
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check.
- Clear Criminal Record check.
