Job Summary
The Clinical Services Manager - Forensic Psychiatric Services will lead the strategic planning process and coordinate operational planning across the assigned clinical program in collaboration with the Provincial Executive Director. This role will integrate specific goals and objectives into the activities of the clinical services, ensuring linkages with individual performance plans and quality management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the strategic planning process and coordinate operational planning across the assigned clinical program.
- Oversee and coordinate on-going program team planning, development, evaluation, and quality improvement activities.
- Manage service area operations by coordinating and establishing priorities, assessing and monitoring staffing requirements and supplies.
- Provide leadership to staff through collaborative coaching, guiding, and modeling key behaviors and strategies.
Requirements
- A master's degree in nursing or a related health profession from an accredited University.
- A minimum of seven years recent related clinical experience, including two years working in a managerial/leadership capacity in a clinical setting.
- Current practicing registration with a relevant professional association.
- Solid clinical knowledge of the designated patient population(s).
- Strong skills in clinical and operations management.
- Innovative leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and to promote teamwork.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience with quality assurance processes, operational planning, and program development.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and public relations skills.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada.
