About the Role

The Senior Engineer Energy will provide technical expertise in waste planning, quantification, and management, ensuring compliance with industry best-practices and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will have a strong background in radioactive waste management, including experience in waste processing, sorting, and segregation, as well as a deep understanding of international guidance and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides technical expertise in waste planning, quantification, and management
  • Develops and implements waste management strategies and plans
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry best-practices and regulatory requirements
  • Supports the implementation of CNL's Integrated Waste Strategy
  • Reviews and presents waste reports to ensure legal compliance and liability reduction

Requirements

  • BS degree in engineering or science field
  • At least 10-15+ years of experience in radioactive waste management
  • Experience in waste processing, including sorting and segregation, packaging, transportation, and minimization techniques
  • Extensive awareness and understanding of international guidance and industry best-practices
  • Ability to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
