We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Control Room Specialist to join our team at Evans in Calgary, AB.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our clients and internal stakeholders to understand their operational requirements for control rooms. As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for translating those requirements into conceptual designs, providing trusted advice and guidance throughout the consulting process.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a 2-year diploma in a technical field, such as Architectural, IT, Audio Visual, or Interior Design. You will also have 1-3+ years of experience related to the job description, with a strong ability to interact with customers at various levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of key Evans' processes and products.
  • Lead specific smaller consulting opportunities from cradle to grave.
  • Organize and support onsite workshops with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Understand and apply various technologies that apply to control rooms.
  • Develop conceptual operational plans.
  • Create consulting reports ensuring compliance to control room design standards (including ISO 11064).
  • Develop specifications for customers (consoles, acoustics, lighting, IT, Video Management, AV Systems, and similar).
  • Defining the operational inputs and outputs as it relates to AV & technology requirements.
  • Work closely with Construction Services team in joint projects as well as actively promote other Evans services and capabilities.
  • Assist in the development of reports and proposals to clients.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a 2-year diploma in a technical field.
  • 1-3+ years of experience related to the job description.
  • Ability to travel up to 20-30% of the time.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, confident, and able to learn quickly.

Educational Background:

Pursuing a degree in a relevant field is not required, but a strong educational background in a technical field is essential.

Travel Requirements:

Up to 20-30% of travel may be required, including international travel.
