Carpentry Specialist

G & K Finishing and Renovation Ltd is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction and renovation of residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities- Site Preparation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements, and ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are on site.
- Construction and Installation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a smooth and professional finish.
- Project Management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, estimate costs and materials, and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments.
- Work Conditions: The Carpenter will work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments, with a physically demanding workload.
- Teamwork: The successful candidate will be a reliable team player who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication in the workplace.
- Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
