Job Description

Overview

RepRisk AG is seeking an experienced ESG Research Lead to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for leading our ESG research analysts, fostering an inclusive and enterprising culture, and leveraging the unique talents and educational backgrounds of team members to drive innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the ESG Research Team
    • Guide the Toronto ESG research team in delivering a wide range of projects, collaborating effectively with internal functions such as machine learning, marketing, key account management, and product management.
    • Conduct comprehensive research using RepRisk data to uncover trends, generate insights, and establish thought leadership in the ESG space.
    • Facilitate direct client engagement, providing ESG advisory services, thought leadership, and data-driven insights to enhance client relationships and support upselling, cross-selling, and lead generation.
    • Develop and implement strategies to upskill team members, ensuring continuous professional development and alignment with industry best practices.
    • Drive the integration of ESG research and insights into broader business strategies, contributing to the overall growth and success of the organization.
  • Client Engagement
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their ESG needs and providing tailored solutions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality ESG research and advisory services.
  • Team Management
    • Lead and manage a team of ESG research analysts, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
  • Business Development
    • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to drive growth and revenue.
    • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute business development plans.

Requirements

  • Over 10 years of professional experience in data or sustainable investing, with 5 years experience in leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of leading major, complex projects involving multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a demonstrated ability in team management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Skilled at data-driven decision-making, adept at leveraging data and insights to inform strategy.
  • Comfort with uncharted territories and the ability to navigate and lead change effectively.
  • Direct client-facing experience, particularly within the financial industry, or strong product management or technical skills including SQL, Python, and Power BI, is highly desirable.
  • Strong business acumen, with a result-oriented approach to driving business growth and success.
