We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal to join our team at ESG Global Advisors Inc. Our team of senior-level professionals works with clients every step of the way, to develop an approach to ESG that adds value now and in the future. We believe that teams who like and respect each other produce the best quality work as we challenge and learn from one another.

We are a close-knit team that works effectively in a virtual environment. Our firm also believes in flexibility and work-life balance, and we support remote and hybrid work arrangements across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and lead complex/challenging projects including research, sophisticated analysis, and broad scope stakeholder engagement.
  • Project and relationship management, including overseeing project teams, providing coaching and guidance, and overseeing client deliverables.
  • Regularly contribute to thought leadership and blog content for posting on our website, newsletter, and social media channels.
  • Leverage your profile and network to participate in speaking engagements and produce thought leadership in areas of expertise.
  • Proactively propose and lead design and implementation of innovations and enhancements to service offerings and operational policies and processes.
Requirements:
  • Post graduate education in a relevant discipline, such as CFA or CPA designation or FSA credential.
  • Direct experience in ESG and responsible investment gained in the institutional investment industry, with a strong North American network.
  • Experience working with corporations and ESG advisory firms, industry associations or initiatives, demonstrating strong relationship and project management.
  • Expertise and interest in climate change, social impact or impact investment an asset.
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills, able to distill complex topics into easy-to-understand language.
  • Business development or sales experience, including working with a CRM system, considered an asset.
  • Fluency in French or Spanish is an asset.
  • Committed to producing high quality deliverables with keen attention to detail.
  • Interested in developing and coaching junior staff in an environment of psychological safety.
  • Digitally literate and willing to learn new software with a growth mindset.
  • Flexible in hours, ability to work overtime if necessary.
