About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ESG Principal to join our team at ESG Global Advisors Inc. as a trusted partner of both companies and investors. As a senior-level professional with deep experience in the Capital Markets, you will work with clients to develop an approach to ESG that adds value now and in the future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and lead complex/challenging projects including research, sophisticated analysis, and broad scope stakeholder engagement.
  • Project and relationship management, overseeing project teams to execute the work and providing detailed coaching and guidance on solutions and concepts.
  • Oversight of client deliverables, including planning, delegating, coordinating, detail review and budget/hours tracking to the firm's high-quality standards.
  • Regularly contribute to thought leadership and blog content for posting on our website, newsletter, and social media channels.
  • Leveraging profile and network, participate speaking engagements and produce thought leadership in areas of expertise.
  • Proactively propose and lead design and implementation of innovations and enhancements to service offerings and operational policies and processes.
Requirements
  • Post graduate education in a relevant discipline (e.g., CFA or CPA designation or FSA credential would be an asset).
  • Direct experience in ESG and responsible investment gained in the institutional investment industry, having built a profile as a trusted ESG expert with a strong North American network.
  • Experience working with corporations and ESG advisory firms, industry associations or initiatives (including as an investor and/or client) – demonstrating strong relationship and project management.
  • Expertise and interest in climate change, social impact or impact investment an asset.
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills, able to distill complex topics into easy-to-understand language.
  • Business development or sales experience, including working with a CRM system considered an asset.
  • Fluency in French or Spanish is an asset.
  • Committed to producing high quality deliverables with keen attention to detail.
  • Interested in developing and coaching junior staff in an environment of psychological safety.
  • Digitally literate and willing to learn new software with a growth mindset.
  • Flexible in hours, ability to work overtime if necessary.
