Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced Lead Generation Supervisor to join our Thermal Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Generation Team, ensuring the safety of employees, contractors, and the public, and developing short-term and long-term objectives to support division plans.



Responsibilities



  2. Evaluate the performance of subordinate staff, provide training and development opportunities, and ensure that they are aware of their roles and responsibilities.


  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures related to operations and maintenance, including budget administration and capital project management.


  4. Collaborate with other departments, such as Projects and Engineering and Finance, to ensure alignment with corporate goals and objectives.


  5. Manage assigned capital projects, including coordination with the division asset manager, issuing and awarding quotes, tenders, and requests for proposals, and managing construction or procurement of assets.




Requirements


To be successful in this role, you must have:



  2. A High School Diploma or GED, and three years of related experience, including one year of management experience.


  3. Valid NWT Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent.


  4. Experience in administrative and financial planning procedures, including budget administration and capital project management.


  5. Extensive experience in power production and distribution.


  6. Good planning, organizational, and prioritizing skills, as well as good analytical and diagnostic skills with problem-solving competence.


  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to respond to customer complaints and deal with permanent, casual, and contract workers.


  8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications, specifically Word and Excel.


  9. Ability to undergo a successful criminal records check.




Compensation


The salary range for this position is $58.55/hr - $73.18/hr, plus location and accommodation allowances of approximately $10,384 per annum. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental benefits, long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid sick days, and a defined benefits pension plan.
