Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Coordinator Specialist to join our team at TRI-ALLIANCE FREIGHT SERVICES INC. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the flow of goods and shipments from origin to destination.

About the Role

This is a permanent position with an estimated salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project coordination and management, with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the flow of goods and shipments from origin to destination
  • Implement new administrative procedures to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Review and evaluate existing procedures to identify areas for improvement
  • Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
  • Resolve conflict situations and provide excellent customer service
  • Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures
  • Liaise with departmental and corporate officials and with other organizations and associations
  • Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. business administration, logistics)
  • 2 years of experience in project coordination and management
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management software
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and must be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Travel may be required occasionally.
