About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive clinical care to patients in a designated service or program area.

The Nurse Practitioner will partner with and complement other members of the healthcare team for the achievement of person and family-centered care. They will work autonomously to diagnose, order, and interpret laboratory tests, order and interpret reports of diagnostic imaging investigations, prescribe pharmaceuticals, and perform procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's of Nursing – Advanced Nursing Practice stream and be registered with the Nova Scotia College Nurses with active-practicing status. They will also have current certification in BCLS or be willing to obtain it.

  • Northern Zone (Colchester, Cumberland, and Pictou County)
  • Western Zone (Annapolis Valley, South West, and South Shore)
  • Central Zone (Halifax Regional Municipality, Eastern Shore, and West Hants)

About You
  • Masters' of Nursing – Advanced Nursing Practice stream
  • Registered with the Nova Scotia College Nurses with active-practicing status, with a license to practice as an NP in Nova Scotia or eligible for registration
  • Current certification in BCLS or willing to obtain
