We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Part Time Intervenor to support people who are deafblind. As an Intervenor, you will play a vital role in enabling individuals to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
Key Responsibilities- Support communication and daily living activities for individuals with dual sensory impairment
- Use effective communication techniques to relay information and empower individuals to participate in daily activities
- Assist with personal care, including lifts and transfers, toileting, and medication administration
- Develop and support individual goals and objectives
- Assist with program development and ensure accurate documentation and records
- Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program or a related human services field
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions
- Communication skills in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE)
- Valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a clean current driver's abstract
- A competitive wage starting at $23.03/hour
