Physiotherapist - Rehabilitation Services Specialist

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team. As a Physiotherapist, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities. You will provide services in outpatient, inpatient, and community settings, educating and communicating with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills are required.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy from an accredited university, membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists, BCLS, and computer skills. Additional courses or education in specialized areas of practice, such as cardio-respiratory techniques, acupuncture, stroke rehabilitation, manual therapy, or balance training, are an asset. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are also an asset.
HoursThis is a part-time long assignment, 50% FTE, with 37.5 hours biweekly. The assignment is approximately 12 months.
Compensation and IncentivesThe hourly rate for this position is $33.97 - $42.89. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
