About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team. As a Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Physiotherapist who possesses excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy from an accredited university, membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists, BCLS, and computer skills.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities.
  • Provide service in outpatient, inpatient, and community settings.
  • Educate and communicate with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers.
  • Supervise and evaluate physiotherapy students and supervise assistants.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy from an accredited university.
  • Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists.
  • BCLS.
  • Computer skills (statistics input, word processing).
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time long assignment, 50% FTE, 37.5 hours biweekly, approximately 12 months.

Compensation and Incentives

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive hourly rate of $33.97 - $42.89, as well as eligibility for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
