About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team at Bethany CollegeSide. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Resident-Centered Care: Provide personalized care and support to residents, assisting with activities of daily living, and promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Documentation: Accurately document and report care and related observations to the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, ensuring timely and comprehensive documentation.
- Safety: Contribute to a safe environment for residents, staff, and self by adhering to safety guidelines and practices, and demonstrating thorough knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
- Team Work: Collaborate effectively with other interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and change the documented care needs of residents.
Requirements
- Grade 10 education and Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide certificate
- Registered with the Government of Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
- Previous Health Care Aide experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment
- Demonstrates ability to understand, speak, read, and write effectively in English
- Excellent observation, communication, and problem-solving skills
