Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Flooring Assistant to join our team at Designer Flooring. As a key member of our flooring installation team, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced installers with various tasks, ensuring the successful completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist installers with loading, unloading, and transporting materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, and other equipment as needed.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Help maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and assist with cleaning up spills and debris.
  • Load and unload products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
  • Sort, crate, and stack goods as required.
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Reliability and dependability in meeting deadlines and commitments.
  • Basic math skills and ability to follow instructions.
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in various locations, including construction sites. You will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots and use a cellular phone for communication.
