Job Title: Flooring Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Flooring Assistant to join our team at Designer Flooring. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of our flooring projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Assist the medical examiner in charge with tasks as needed.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications to ensure a stable and even surface.
  • Perform routine maintenance work to ensure the smooth operation of our equipment and tools.
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites to ensure a clean and organized workspace.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction to ensure optimal performance.
  • Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment to meet project deadlines.
  • Sort, crate, and stack goods to ensure efficient storage and transportation.
Requirements:
  • Physically demanding work environment.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work at heights.
  • Reliable and accurate with a strong work ethic.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Will train on the job.
  • Permanent employment opportunity.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • English language required.
